Gabe Ignatow
Gabe Ignatow is an associate professor with research interests in text analysis methods, sociological theory, and globalization. His current research involves collaborative development of theory-driven natural language processing programs designed mainly for social media applications. He received his PhD from Stanford in 2003, and his academic mentors have included the social psychologist Jonathan Haidt and sociologist John W. Meyer.
Dr. Ignatow serves on the editorial boards of Sociological Forum and the Journal for the Theory of Social Behaviour, and has been selected as a faculty fellow at the Center for Cultural Sociology at Yale University and the Castleberry Peace Institute at UNT. He currently co-directs the graduate program with Dr. George Yancey and directs the department's globalization doctoral concentration.
