The department's 13 faculty serve more than 400 majors in our degree programs. Student-centered education is a hallmark of this dedicated faculty, who take a personal interest in every student's progress from tha first day they enter and beyond graduation to their professional career. The Department of Rehabilitation, Social Work and Addiction is an applied social science and professional training program in UNT's College of Public Affairs and Community Service. As its name implies, programs share a common commitment to bringing academic knowledge to bear on public issues and problems through research, education and service activities in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Other academic departments and units in the College include: Anthropology, Applied Economics, Applied Gerontology, Behavioral Analysis, Criminal Justice, Public Administration and Sociology. The Center for Public Service operates college-wide certification and for-credit program. The College also offers a multidisciplinary undergraduate degree program in Applied Arts and Sciences and operates the university's Survey Research Center.
