Bryan Hoy graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 1998 with a BA in Professional Accounting. Upon graduation, he taught high school math for a year before leaving for Austin to work as an Inspector for the Texas State Securities Board. A year later, he transferred to the agency’s Enforcement Division in Dallas to investigate securities fraud and other white collar crime. He earned his Certified Fraud Examiner designation in 2006. Later that year, after working as a manager for the Inspections Division of the Securities Board, he was hired as a Special Agent for the IRS. He’s worked on cases ranging from mortgage fraud and tax crimes to prostitution and identity theft. He also teaches weaponless tactics and serves as a fitness advisor to fellow agents. He plans to graduate from the MSCJ program in December 2013.
