A Direct Path to a Bachelor’s Degree

The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) program at the University of North Texas (UNT) is designed for students who have completed an associate degree or a significant amount of college credits and wish to earn a bachelor's degree. The program is tailored to meet the needs of non-traditional students, such as those who have work experience or military training, and provides a flexible and practical pathway for non-traditional students to earn a bachelor's degree that combines academic knowledge with real-world application. The BAAS program at UNT offers a wide range of concentration areas, allowing students to specialize in a particular discipline or industry. Some of the available concentrations include business administration, cyber crime, information technology, organizational leadership, and project management.

Hybrid vs. Online Program

The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree is available in two formats: hybrid and fully (100%) online in parternship with Coursera. Students pursuing the hybrid program will have more professional development concentrations and focus areas to select from to comprise their degree. For students pursuing the fully online option, they may select between the following seven concentrations to comprise their degree: Administration, Consumer Behavior, Organizational Supervision,  Data Analytics, Social Wellness and Community, Media Innovation, and Hospitality Management.
